Hudson Valley, New York · A program of We Have Your 6

Bringing veterans together through motorcycles

Some wounds don't show on an X-ray. Combat Customs gives veterans living with post-traumatic stress a shop to work in, a trade to learn, and a crew that gets it — one bolt, one build, one brother or sister at a time.

01 The Program

A healthy shop,
a real skill,
a reason to show up.

Combat Customs is a program of We Have Your 6 that offers an outlet for veterans suffering from PTSD to work together in a healthy shop setting, while learning applicable real-world skills.

The garage does what a waiting room can't. Hands stay busy. Talk comes easy. Nobody has to explain the thousand-yard part. A veteran who won't sit in a circle and share will absolutely spend four hours arguing about carb jetting — and leave lighter than they came in.

Every bike that rolls out of the shop was built by people who served, for people who served. No experience required. Bring yourself.

  1. 01

    Show up

Walk in cold. No intake packet, no diagnosis required, no cost to the veteran. Coffee's on.

  2. 02

    Get your hands dirty

Teardown, wiring, fab, paint, pinstriping, final assembly. You learn by doing it next to someone who already has.

  3. 03

    Build the skill

Wrenching is a trade. What's learned on the bench travels — to a job, a side hustle, a garage of your own.

  4. 04

    Keep the crew

The build ends. The unit doesn't. Rides, rallies, and a phone that gets answered at 2 a.m.

04 Our Parent

We Have
Your 6

Combat Customs runs under We Have Your 6 — a Hudson Valley nonprofit committed to improving the lives of those living with post-traumatic stress.

We Have Your 6 makes sure veterans and first responders living with PTS get the resources and support to restore emotional and physical independence, and fights the stigma around mental health through local events, fundraising, and community partnerships. It is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Orange & Sullivan — so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
